The Costume Committee is equipped with over a century of experience with PMCFT. We are here to serve, committed to provide continuous assessment of our costumes and maintain alignment with our changing needs. 

 

We collaborate closely with the Artistic Team, to ensure appropriate costumes are utilized to characterize each cultural presentation. 

 

We are motivated to see our performers wearing their costumes with pride as they showcase the rich Filipino Culture and Heritage through music and dance.

Notes / Responsibilities
 

• Coordinate closely with the Artistic Team Directors.
   

• Conduct inventory and assessment of existing costumes before ordering new ones.
   

• Prioritize adjustable, reusable designs (e.g., gartered or wraparound materials).
   

• Assign specific costumes to individual dancers to prevent loss or confusion.
   

• Allow dancers to retain fitted costumes once assigned.
   

• Revive and reuse retired or unused costumes whenever possible.
   

• Ensure visual references are available for costume planning.
   

• Coordinate directly with the seamstress, allowing a minimum five-month lead time for new costume creation.
