The Costume Committee works closely with the Artistic Team Directors to plan, organize, and maintain costumes for performances. Responsibilities include conducting regular inventory and assessing existing costumes before ordering new ones.
The committee prioritizes adjustable, reusable designs, assigns costumes to individual dancers for accountability, and allows fitted costumes to remain with assigned performers.
They also revive retired costumes whenever possible, ensure visual references are available for planning, and coordinate with the seamstress, with at least a five-month lead time for new costume creation.
